Cancelling, and getting your money back

Cancel any time from your account settings. Consumers get 14 days to change their mind — with one important exception, explained below.

1. Cancelling

Cancel at any time in your account settings; it takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and you keep access until then. We do not charge a cancellation fee and we will not ask you to call anyone.

If you cannot access your settings, email support@therainmakers.uk from your account address and we will cancel it for you.

2. Your 14-day right to change your mind

If you are a consumer — buying for purposes mostly outside your trade or business — the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 give you 14 days from subscribing to cancel and get your money back.

There is an important exception, and it applies to most people here. Because the platform is a digital service you can use immediately, you are asked to agree at checkout that we may start supplying it straight away, and to acknowledge that doing so ends your right to cancel once supply has begun. If you agree and then use the service, the 14-day right no longer applies.

If you subscribed but have not used the service, contact us within 14 days and we will refund you in full.

Most customers use The RainMakers for their business, which means the 14-day right does not apply to them at all. The next section is what governs those cases.

3. Refunds outside the 14-day right

Subscriptions are paid in advance and we do not generally refund part-months. You keep access for the rest of the period you paid for.

We will refund you where:

  • you were charged after cancelling, or charged twice for the same period
  • the platform was substantially unavailable for a prolonged period in the month in question
  • we removed a material feature from your plan mid-period
  • we closed your account other than for a breach of our terms

We will not normally refund where you simply did not use the service in a period, where you changed your mind after using it, or where your account was suspended for breaching the Acceptable Use Policy.

Where a refund is due we pay it to the original payment method, usually within five working days, and always within 14 days.

4. Free plan and upgrades

The Free plan costs nothing, so nothing is refundable. You can stop using it at any time.

Upgrading takes effect immediately and we charge the difference pro rata. Downgrading takes effect at your next renewal and we do not refund the difference for the current period — you keep the higher tier until then.

5. If you disagree

Email support@therainmakers.uk and tell us what happened. We would much rather sort it out directly than have you raise a chargeback, which costs us both time. If we cannot agree, your statutory rights and the dispute provisions in the Terms of Service remain available to you.
